New 2017-2018 Fall/Spring Meal Plans

The new 2017-2018 meal plans are designed to provide maximum flexibility, value and convenience.  These meal plans include declining balance funds called Discount Dollars that activate deep discounts in resident dining rooms (i.e., all-you-care-to-eat) and at retail dining venues.

Munch Money

All students can also elect to add a tax-free Munch Money account to their UAlbany ID card.  Unlike in previous years, Munch Money (starting Fall 2017) is separate from meal plans (i.e., 2017-2018 meal plans have Discount Dollars instead of Munch Money). Students on a meal plan may want to add Munch Money to make purchases at 518 Market or in vending machines since these locations don't activate a discount with Discount Dollars.  A Podium account can also be used for these purchases, but Podium does not provide tax-free spending.
